Frank Bettmann has been practicing law for more than 25 years, handling everything from wrongful death to real estate cases. Although born in Kansas, Bettmann has spent most of his life living and working in South Dakota.
He began his studies at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and later transferred to the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977 and his Master of Public Administration in 1978 from USD.
In 1981, Mr. Bettmann received his law degree from the University of Idaho in Moscow. He soon returned to Rapid City where he served as a Deputy States Attorney until 1983. Since then, he has been in private practice.
Mr. Bettmann is licensed to practice law in South Dakota and Nebraska trial and appellate courts as well as federal courts in South Dakota. He also holds a license to practice in the Eighth Circuit United States Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Bettmann’s resume encompasses several aspects of law including civil and criminal trials, litigation and appeals, business, corporate and commercial practice, personal injury with a focus on motorcycle cases, gaming and family law, wills/probate and insurance defense.
